Why I made this
I'm an ordinary Kiwi who has never really taken the time to learn about politics. Most elections I've turned up on voting day with no real idea who to vote for, knowing only the few headlines I'd seen in passing. I made this for people in the same spot.

Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, researches and writes every entry. Five separate AI reviewers then check it before it goes up:
- Fact check. Every sentence and number is matched to its source.
- Swap test. A reviewer reads the entry with party and politician names hidden, and fails it if it would read differently for another party.
- Three viewpoints. Reviewers look for slant against the left, against the right, and on Te Tiriti and Māori perspectives.
AI can still get things wrong, so every claim links to its source and the date it was checked. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the suggestion box.
Who pays
No ads, no party money, and no link to any party or campaign. The running costs are a Claude subscription and hosting, paid by me, with help from readers who give a koha.
If the site has helped you, a koha is welcome but never expected. Parties, campaigns and lobby groups can't give, and giving buys nothing: it doesn't change what the site says or how a suggestion is handled.
Ko-fi handles the payment, so this site never sees your card details. The Ko-fi page is called Jandal Engineering, the name I use there.

No accounts, no ads, and no cookies of our own. Visits are counted without tracking who you are, and your choices on the site stay in your own browser.
